Fees

We are a private fee-paying firm and do not have a legal aid contract for Housing law.

Our fees are based on a range of hourly rates depending on experience and who is dealing with your case

The Government Guidelines for hourly rates for solicitors are available at:

We will be upfront at the outset of instructing us about the best estimates on costs including the costs of third parties, such as barrister, solicitor advocates, experts and other disbursements.

Fixed Fees

We are conscious that coming to us may have been the result of not being able to instruct legal solicitors, not having no other alternative means of funding or simply that you can afford or prefer a privately fee-paying firm.

We completely understand and respect the right that everyone must chose a solicitor or firm of their choice.

For all the reasons above, individually or taken together, we can offer you a fixed fee for specific stage or stages of the work that we do for you. If you would prefer a fixed fee and not our hourly rate, please let us know at the start of instructing so that this fee can be agreed.

Conditional Fee Agreement

In some cases, we can take your case on a conditional fee agreement. We currently do so in housing conditions claims by a case-by-case basis. If we take your case on a conditional fee agreement, if you win your case, we could recover costs from your opponent.  Under the conditional fee agreement, there are terms and conditions that apply to it. We will discuss the terms and conditions fully at the outset of your matter if we agree to take your matter on a CFA basis.

Data Protection

We can assist with breach of data cases, misuse of data, unauthorised use of data or where there are other failings with the use of your personal data which has caused you loss.

We can assist with appeals or public challenges with the use or disuse of your personal data.
